Keeping Active
Maintaining social connections and doing things that you enjoy is important for everyone’s wellbeing. That’s why we offer a range of activities to help you enjoy each day here at Fergusson Home.
All residents have Individual Activities Programmes on a one-to-one basis, in small groups or are welcome to join in the main programme. Qualified diversional therapists oversee the activities programme and we have designated activities staff to help make each day more exciting.
We are keen to maintain, extend and accommodate your interests to the best of our ability. You and your family/whanau are encouraged to be part of the planning process by providing details of your interests and dislikes. New ideas are always welcome.
In order to include everyone who is interested, those who may not be up to participating in group activities are visited in their rooms by our staff and, where possible, activities are tailored to suit their needs.

Everyone is Included
Residents have the opportunity to go on outings each week.
Our activities staff are always planning and organising places to visit. Some of these places include local cafes and tourist attractions such as the Lakeland Queen, the Gondolas and picnics or Fish and Chips at one of the local lakes or recreational areas.
